Once the images in this painting began to reveal themselves to me, they just kept coming. This is a powerful painting that deserves a long look in full resolution. It's great to see you posting some new work ! This one is excellent, and it seems to be a bit of a different direction from your earlier work. I can't wait to see where your new work leads you !

Thank you! Yeah, I am a little bummed I couldn't take a better quality pic. I've never had difficulty taking pics of my stuff until this one.

When I transferred a few of my old canvases to digital, I used a scanner, and then stitched the scans together in Photoshop. It's a lot of work, but the result is an image where you can see the texture of the canvas clearly, and the colors are perfect. It eliminates all perspective, camera and lighting issues. My canvases aren't on stretchers, which makes things a bit easier. Not having seen your actual canvas it's hard to say, but you're picture looks balanced on my monitors, and doesn't suffer from any serious camera distortions. Is your concern with the accuracy of your colors, or perhaps the way your camera handled the white balance ?

My primary concern is always the accuracy of the colors. I will crop my photos after I take them and will sacrifice the edges if it means the colors stay intact. How it differs from each photo I have no idea. I usually take 5-10 pics and select the best one. For some reason, this one looks distorted to me and I use the same camera for all of them.
